About this test
The test is used to detect antibodies against red blood cells (RBCs) that are present in the bloodstream but are not attached to the RBCs themselves. This test is commonly used in blood compatibility testing, such as prenatal screening for Rh incompatibility between a mother and her fetus, before a blood transfusion and during pregnancy
